“Think about it. I said that I love you every day, but you never said that you love me. And, unawarely, we ignored the fact that our family’s falling apart.”

Iran laughed at Boris’ loud remark. She had often told herself to express little feelings since she could not let her emotions show, and she had never once neglected her family. Rather, she was fed up with her family’s situation and would rent a carriage with all her valuables to getaway.

However, he seemed to be criticizing her.

‘Is it really the Boris I knew?’

He used to whisper love, stroke her hair tenderly, and promised that he would sing a serenade every day when he marries her. Now, standing in front of her eyes, only a devil-like man with his hand clenched remains.

“Tell me! Huh? Am i wrong? Irene!” Boris exclaimed more excitedly.

He yelled. Mother and Riel are just staring. Even the servants glanced at him and did not intend to stop him. Boris seemed to be going on about this cliché again, it’s wearing her out. Not wanting to witness this, Irene turned her head.

Irene wanted to run away from this place, where there is no one on her side… … .

“Didn’t you say that you don’t like Irene?”

At that moment, Irene’s eyes widened at the sudden sweet voice. Boris turned his head with a grim look at the uninvited guest. As he walked into the lobby, he glanced at Irene. Irene’s olive-colored eyes shook.

“What are you towards Irene?” Boris shouted at Noel’s appearance.

Noel looked at Irene for a moment as if to reassure her, then turned to Boris with a cold face. Boris flinched at the sight.

“It’s a special relationship.”

Irene’s eyes shook once again. His appearance was somehow sympathetic, as if he had read her thoughts. The thought that she wanted to run away from this place since there is no one on her side here.

At Noel’s words, the lobby was overflowed with silence for a moment. Then Boris’s expression went down with a grim face.

“What? What did you say just now? Irene and what?”

“It is a special relationship,” Noel repeated.

“Is it that difficult to understand the words?”

“No! Now that’s not it. Who and what? I am Irene’s special person!”

Boris grabs Noel by the collar. Noel’s face up close was spotless, but he soon broke down by the fact that he had been pushed.

“Sir Gertin!”  (Boris’s surname)

The mother, startled by the sight, rose from her seat and held him back. Even if he was the Grand Duke with no title now, she did not know what would happen in the future. What’s more, she brought him in to help persuade Irene, but didn’t think that he was going to make such a fuss.

“Boris, stop.”

Riel, who was watching the situation quietly, motionlessly, as Boris’ eyes caught a sight from afar. Riel wasn’t taking his side. Exasperatedly, Boris pushed Riel away.

“Move!”

“Kya-!”

Soon enough, Boris flinched as Riel helplessly hit the floor. He didn’t push that hard, he only gave little push, but when Riel fell hard, he panicked.

Boris glanced at Irene. He still wanted her to apologize, but she was blankly looking at the man in front of him. Gritting his teeth, Boris grabbed Noel’s collar and pulled it hard.

However, the height difference between him and Noel was quite large, so only Boris’s arm hurt, and Noel did not suffer in the slightest.

“Is this all you’ve got?”

Noel asked him as he was gasping, Boris clenched his teeth and pulled them even harder, but he did not budge at all.

Noel moved his lips, looking down at him with dark brown eyes that had sunken cold.

“I asked if this was all.”

“Interesting, what the hell are you?……”

“What’s with all the fuss?”

From the hall, the Count then walked out with a cry. Surprised, Boris quickly let go of Noel’s collar. Noel bowed his head towards the Count.

“I’m sorry for coming here so suddenly.”

“Grand Duke Kristen. What is going on right now? Irene, what the hell did you do to make things like this!”

Standing on the stairs, Irene’s father gazed at her angrily, then turned to Riel, who was lying on the floor. Startled, he hurriedly raised Riel to stand back up.

“Riel! What is this all about? Are you okay? No injuries?”

“Dad….Yes, it’s fine. Better than that…..”

“Who should be the one to worry about now?. You, come on, what are you doing, take Riel back to her room!”

Startled by her father’s shout, her mother rushed to escort Riel back. Riel looked at Noel as she leaned over to her mother. She hesitated, then opened her mouth gingerly.
