Her face was streaked with tears, flushed due to being out of breath, and her pouty, red lips showed her annoyance. Ironically, her disgruntled face was more lively than her usual cold demeanour. Qin Zhiyou found this amusing, so he added, “So you didn’t die.”

“What are you doing here?” Did he have a radar installed in him? She had not visited N University in ages, and the one time she did, she ran into him.

“Oh, my mentor’s birthday, just came to see him.” When Qin Zhiyou was in university, he had studied business management. His mentor was a nationally renowned economics professor. Of course, he had no say over when or where his mentor’s gathering would be. Even though Qin Zhiyou didn’t take his studies seriously, he had immense respect for his mentor, “And you? What brings you here?”

“A client of mine is nearby, and my car broke down here. Doctor Zhao helped me fix it. By the way, this is Doctor Zhao, my mother’s primary physician. His medical expertise saved my mother’s life,” Lu Weixi said, introducing the forgotten Zhao Zihao.

Just as they were speaking, someone from the upstairs pavilion called out to Qin Zhiyou, “We’re starting. We’ve been waiting for you. Aren’t you coming up?”

As Lu Weixi was about to say something, Qin Zhiyou suddenly moved his head to her ear and whispered in a low voice, “Come home early tonight. I will be waiting for you in the bathroom.”
